Building a City of Opportunity
Building a City of Opportunity

As Mayor, my priority will be to help our city build bridges that connect us.

Holyoke’s ‘power to grow’ rests in each and every single one of us. My job as mayor will be to develop opportunities that let YOUR talents, YOUR visions, and YOUR passions create a bridge to our collective tomorrow.

Economic development in the urban core will stabilize the tax rate throughout the city. We need to continue to welcome indoor grow operations while also supporting local entrepreneurs with incubator spaces downtown.

Internet access must be treated as a utility as more and more essential activities are taking place online. Holyoke must develop its own internet network order to maintain a competitive edge in attracting new families and businesses to the city.

Education is a community responsibility to prepare our youth to become the political and business leaders of tomorrow. We need a plan for reducing state support and regaining local control that is reflective of our community.

Neighborhood groups provide opportunities for neighbors to get to know one another, work together toward common goals, and develop the civic skills necessary for democratic participation. Neighborhood events and programming will foster a rich community life.
