Economic development in the urban core will stabilize the tax rate throughout the city. We need to continue to welcome indoor grow operations while also supporting local entrepreneurs with incubator spaces downtown.

What I’ve done
I spearheaded the process of downtown revitalization as a means for stabilizing the city’s tax base. I was also instrumental in passing a Smart Growth overlay zone in the city center and ordinances that helped bring marijuana manufacturing to our old, historic mill buildings.
As mayor I will
Work closely with the Office of Planning and Economic Development to make sure we are effectively marketing the city, expanding indoor grow operations, and bringing small shops and restaurants back to the urban core.
