An update from the front lines. This past Spring, Holyoke Medical Center (HMC) announced that…
Dear friends and neighbors,
My name is Eric Cora and my family and I are proud residents of the City of Holyoke. I am the Program Manager for the Franklin County Family Resource Center at Community Action. I got involved in this work because when I was young, my mother and siblings and I depended on the support and unity of our community along with charity and community centers such as the one I am running now. I always knew that I wanted to be in a position to help others who are in need of that same sort of support and care.
My wife, Sadie, is an educator who teachers third grade at the Jackson Street School in Northampton. We are both involved in work that we find meaningful because we can see the direct impact our efforts have on individuals, families, and the community.
Our family first met Rebecca when our children were babies. We became friends first, through our kids, and then remained connected through our shared belief in Holyoke’s future. Rebecca has encouraged us to give back to the community and engage in Holyoke more deeply around the issues that are important to us such as education. Sadie even went as far as running for a seat on the Holyoke School Committee in 2015.
We support Rebecca Lisi for City Council at-Large because of her commitment and drive to serve the people of Holyoke. We’ve seen Rebecca put in countless hours at meetings and continue to “talk shop” at social and community gatherings.
Rebecca knows how to listen to her constituents, ask good questions, and develop thoughtful policies and responses. She understands the need for a social and economic agenda that includes low-income families and is sensitive to our community’s diversity in order to continue moving Holyoke forward.
Please join me and my family in voting for Rebecca Lisi for Holyoke City Council at-Large on November 5, 2019.
Her re-election campaign also needs financial contributions to stay competitive in a crowded at-Large field this year. We are setting an October fundraising goal of $2500 to print and mail a city-wide mailer to help people learn about Rebecca and her platform.
Can you take a moment right now to support Rebecca by making a meaningful donation to her campaign?
Eric Y. Cora
