LET’S GO, HOLYOKE!!
Holyoke, I’m so proud of all that we’ve accomplished since I was first elected in 2007.
- Developed opportunities for mixed-use development downtown through a Smart Growth Overlay Zone and Urban Renewal Plan
- Turned historic Lyman Terrace into a model Green-rebuild when it was slated for demolition
- Took leadership on creating Cannabis Industry regulations and successfully permitted multiple licensed businesses
- Preserved union jobs with our school bus contract and attracted new living wage job opportunities for our residents
- Secured a $75.8 M grant from the state MSBA to build two new middle schools that will save the district $4.5 M/year in operating expenses
When re-elected, I will continue to help Holyoke move forward by supporting
- the development of additional affordable housing units in our City, especially in the downtown
- infrastructure upgrades to sidewalks and roads as well as water and sewer lines
- public safety reforms that focus on rebuilding trust between the community and our police officers
- fiscal policies that reflect industry best practices and will further improve our bond rating
